Oh, a reccomendation (I wasn’t sure where else to put this… so here it is in your 2009 section.) If you haven’t already reviewed Sloppy Firsts by Megan McCafferty, or read it, YOU SHOULD DO SO THIS MINUTE. :)

  2. jocelyn Says:

I’ve read and loved all four of Megan McCafferty’s Jessica Darling books, and I’m eagerly looking forward to the fifth! If you’re interested in my reviews, I’ve reviewed Fourth Comings (https://teenbookreview.wordpress.com/2007/08/02/review-fourth-comings-by-megan-mccafferty/).

If you want to contact me, you can email me at teenbookreview at gmail dot com. Thanks for the suggestion; they are great books!

  4. Teena Says:

I used to love and constantly read.
Whenever the class took 3 months to read a book I would finish it in a day.
Lately, I haven’t been reading anything.
I’d like to start reading again soon

  5. Mary Says:

So, which one would you recommend the most? Not an animorphs please and I’ve already read & enjoyed Nick & Nora.

I’ve read three books that you might enjoy. “The Summoning” by Kelly Armstrong, “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins, and “The Glass Village” (sorry forgot authors name). Very good reads.

I absolutely loved 13 little blue envelopes. And a month later, I hear that my art teacher is inviting people to go to europe with her! So I am going to Italy and Greece in three weeks!

Oh! Have you read Kevin Brooks’ “Candy” or “Lucas”? They are brilliant!

  8. Kim Vazquez Says:

    Hey Jocelyn

I came across your book blog and I’m wondering if you read books that are memoirs written with teens in mind? I would love to reach this audience and if you read the book you will see why. I have a website you could check out some excerpts on to see if you would find it interesting. Also, while it seems that you are way busy, if you have an input on how I could reach teens better. I am all ears.

  9. Kim Vazquez Says:

The book is called Living in the Rear View Mirror: From Substance Abuse to A Life of Substance. You can reach me at:

Journeywithangels@yahoo.com if you are interested in a copy. Thanks!

  15. clemente Says:

I read the “what’s the matter with kids today” essay, and I will write a respond to it in which I unfortunately disagree. However, I want to say that I really respect Amy Goldwasser, and that I think she is a great writter!!!

  16. Readbug Says:

I dont know if you have read this but my favorite book is “Perfect Chemistry” by: Simone Elkeles. It is absolutly incredible. Great love story, very much like a modern day Romeo and Juliet.
